South Deerfield, MA — Jane Patricia Kosterman passed away May 13, 2022 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton at age 74. Jane was born in Greenfield, MA on October 26, 1947; the daughter of Harold and Norma Lapointe.

Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She graduated from Greenfield High School and Greenfield Community College with honors with an Associate's Degree in Graphic Design. Jane was passionate in the world of art, having been inspired by her father's love for painting. She worked for The Republican newspaper in Springfield, MA as a graphic artist.

Summers were a special time for the Lapointe and Kosterman family spending their summers at Hampton Beach, NH. Jane loved the beach and ocean.

She enjoyed Photoshop design, knitting, ceramics, traveling with her husband, spending time with her grandson, and soaking up the sun on the beach. She married her high school sweetheart Richard Kosterman and spent 51 loving years together.

She is survived by her husband Richard, son Todd Kosterman, his wife Stacey, and grandson Zachary of Winchester, MA, son Douglas Kosterman and his wife Melissa of Hampton, NH, a sister Susan Payne and her husband Thomas of Winter Springs FL, and a brother John Lapointe of Bradenton, FL. Jane is also survived by several cherished nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her parents and brother William Lapointe. Jane will be forever missed and was truly loved by everyone who knew her.

Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Wrisley Funeral Home, 90 Sugarloaf Street, South Deerfield. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Thursday (05/19/2022) at 9:15am, and processing for the 10am Liturgy of Christian Burial at the Holy Family Church in South Deerfield, with burial to follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
