I first got to know Joe as my divorce lawyer; then as my ex's estate paralegal. He and wonderful Sandy were always around Deerfield where I was employed. It would be hard to name a more wonderful couple!

Was thinking of Joe just the other day, reminiscing about the pleasant times we shared in FL.
Joe was a joy to play golf with, laid back, humorous but still gave it his best effort and respected the game. Sitting together for a meal or a beer afterward was just as much fun, he was a great conversationalist.
He is missed!

I met Joe when he was at UVA Law School...a genial and generous fellow. We kept in touch through the years and I was delighted to meet Sandy a few years ago when she and Joe drove South to Florida. Joe was always warm, gracious and good company. We will miss him and send our condolences to his children and Sandy.

I was saddened to read that Joe has passed away. It seems as though he would always be around. He coached our son's little league team with fairness and caring. He drafted many legal documents for us over the years. I knew him through the bank I worked at many years ago and had to deliver documents to Trudel,Bartlett and Barry. My sympathies go out to Sandy and all of his children and grandchildren. We will miss him. Hugs.

My first meeting with Joe occurred across a dormitory hallway in 1962 as both of us were nervously preparing to enter law school.. In the years that followed we became close friends, visited each others homes, traveled together, attended each each other's wedding, and shared close friends.
Sandy and I will miss him greatly over the coming years!

Sandy and family, We are so sorry to learn of Joe's passing. He was always so upbeat and ready for conversation. The last time we saw you two - at BridgeSide Grill not too long ago - he was his usual fun and chatty self and we had a great "catch up" with him. We know that his passing will leave a void in the hearts of those who knew him With love, Claudia and David

Only got to know Joe and Sandy in recent years through their friends, Phebe and Peter Elliott. Had some nice times in FL on the beach, on the golf course and social gatherings.
He was one of the good guys, will be missed by many.

We go back many many years and the joy and the smile of your dad was very special. I would talk to him all the time at Brad's place he loved coming in and we would talk sports. I remember him coaching Alex in little league he surely loved baseball and life. I'm sending you guys my condolences and to remember that it we live life the way Joe did it would be a joyous life with alot of knowledge and fun.

Sandy and family...so sorry for your loss. A loss for all of us who knew him. Joe certainly was a "man about town", as you said. It was a joy and pleasure to work with him at the firm. For some reason that will forever remain a mystery, he called me Woo. What a wonderful smiling photo of him here.
