Carpinteria, CA - Joseph Marc Interlande, 58, passed away on January 20, 2025

Joe was born in Greenfield, MA on February 11, 1966 the son of Carlo and Donna G. (Waterman) Interlande. He attended local schools in Greenfield.

Joe was an accomplished carpenter and ran his own painting business. He most recently helped to renovate the Alcazar Theatre in Carpinteria by painting it and installing a sound system. He traveled worldwide with the Rolling Stones Exhibition as a Set Designer working with his good friend Don McAulay.

Joe was a multi-instrumentalist with the ability to create unique vocal harmonies. He was a very accomplished guitarist and bass player. He also held numerous jobs in the entertainment world. He appeared on the television show Daryl Halls Restoration Overhaul. He was a member of The John Connelly Theory and worked with Mike Scully to write theme songs for television shows. Joe recorded an amazing amount of music that he wrote and recorded with his many musician friends. He was working on new music with Jeff Renlie, John Crooks and Don McAulay at the time of his untimely passing. They along with his nephews Tony and Ben will help to complete those recordings for their eventual release.

Whenever he was back home in Massachusetts he would visit his cousin Paul Interlande.

His family includes his two brothers; Larry and his wife Beverly of Maine, and Richard of Florida, nephew Anthony and wife Kayla, nephew Benjamin, great nephews Calvin and Jackson, and a very dear friend Rachel Lawrence and her daughters Sasha and Helena, his life long friend Christopher Bartlett, numerous cousins and friends.

Joe's family wishes to thank John Wullbrandt and Jeff. Renlie in Carpinteria for their friendship to Joe and support of Joe's family.

There will be a gathering to celebrate Joe's life at the Alcazar Theatre Carpinteria on 2/5/25 at 5pm.

Joe will be buried in Green River Cemetery in Greenfield, MA at date to be announced followed by a gathering at Paul and Diane Interlande's house.

A benefit concert in Joe's honor will be announced at a later date with the intent of the proceeds going towards a scholarship at Matt Kim's Academy of Rock.
