Joyce Brzezinski Obituary
Joyce was born in Concord, New Hampshire, the daughter of Willis R. and Ruth I. (Fairfield) Lyna on March 7, 1927.
Joyce's family moved to Greenfield in 1931 when her father was transferred with the Boston Maine Railroad. A short time later another transfer took them to Reading, MA, living there until 1939 when her father's job returned the family to Greenfield.
Following graduation from Greenfield High School in 1945, she worked briefly before marrying Edward Brzezinski. For many years, Joyce had a full time job as mother and homemaker. She later returned to the work force before retiring in 1988.
In addition to her husband, Ed, she is survived by her children and their spouses, two sons: Michael Brzezinski and his wife Paula of Millers Falls, Mark Brzezinski and his wife Jacqueline of Greenfield; five daughters: Susan Anderson and her husband Dan of St. Augustine, Florida, Sandra Ruggeri and her husband Peter, Cynthia Brzezinski, and Lynn Hallowell and her husband Rick of Greenfield, Lori Miner and her husband Rick of Buckland, a brother, Bill Lyna of North Carolina, and sister-in-law Joanne Merski of Gilford, NH; eleven grandchildren: David Anderson, Jason Anderson, Jason Dyer, Chris Ruggeri, Angie Ruggeri, Jenny Brzezinski, Kelly (Hubbard) Lehtomaki, Michael Hubbard, Katelyn (Hallowell) Cleary, Terra (Hallowell) Cadran, Kaylee Brzezinski, Kirstin Miner, and Chris Miner, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was predeceased by a daughter Terry (Brzezinski) Dyer in 1975, a brother, Richard Lyna in 1990, and her sisters: Joan McMennamin in 1990 and June LaPalme in 1993.
At Joyce's request, burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at the Green River Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kostanski Funeral Home.

Lori, Lynn and family,
I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear mother.
I'll always remember how warm and welcoming she was. Hopefully her and my mom are enjoying a cup of tea together, and reminiscing about kids and grand kids.
