June Wetherbe Obituary

VERNON, Vt. - June R. Wetherbe, 94, of Vernon, Vt. and formerly of Northfield, Mass., died Friday morning (1-26-2018) at the Vernon Green Nursing Home in Vernon.
She was born in Northfield, Mass., on July 31, 1923, the daughter of Homer and Ida (Schworn) Browning Sr. June's education began in a one room schoolhouse in Northfield Farms. She then graduated from Providence Bible Institute and also Gordon College in the 1940s. She then attended Moody Bible Institute with an emphasis on missions. She was married to Franklin B. Wetherbe on July 22, 1961. Mr. Wetherbe predeceased her in 2001. Early in life she made the most important decision anyone can ever take. She asked Jesus to be her Savior, trusting him only for forgiveness for sin. She lived a wonderful life of 94 years, serving God to the fullest. She cared for and served everyone she met and never complained. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, teacher, missionary, Sunday School teacher, and more. We will greatly miss her, but are confident that she is in Heaven with her Lord and Savior, whom she loved with all her heart. She was a member of Moores Corner Church in Leverett, and in later years Community Bible Church in Northfield.
She is survived by a son: Raymond Williams of Iowa, Louisiana, and a daughter: Melissa MacQuarrie and her husband Rev. James of Bear Lake, MI, and a sister Elizabeth Holloway of Northfield, Ma. and grandchildren: Alisha, Jonathan, and Jessica MacQuarrie, and Crystal McMillen. and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers Herman and Homer Jr. Browning, and sister Hazel Marcy.
Funeral services will be Thursday (2-1-2018) at the Northfield Baptist Church, Main St. Northfield, Ma. at 2:00 p.m. There will be a calling hour from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church on Thursday. Burial in Plainview Cemetery, Leverett, Ma. will be in the spring.
The family wishes to thank the loving caring staff at Vernon Hall and Vernon Green. We can never thank them enough for their exceptional love and care.
Donations in her memory may be made to Bibles International, 609 36th Street SE, Grand Rapids, MI. 49548

Aunt June was so special. So many memories of Aunt June, Uncle Franklin, Missy and Ray. She was always a great hostess and loved her nieces, nephews, the whole family. Their door was always opened. We were so blessed to have June Wetherbe in our lives. We are rejoicing that we will see her in heaven some day.

To all the Wetherbe and Browning family, we were sorry to hear of June's passing. She was a great mate for Franklin. We know where they are together again. God Bless you all.

Great Aunt June was a symbol of love, Grace and kindness. I do not believe there was one judgemental bone in her body. I always felt truly cared for and her smile was contagious. She will be missed. I wish I had the chance to tell her all of this in person.
