Karen Sandquist Obituary

Karen L. Sandquist

Buckland, MA - Karen L. Sandquist, devoted wife and mother, passed away suddenly at home in the loving arms of her husband of almost fifty years on May 30, at the age of 70. She was born in Amesbury, MA on March 27, 1955 to Henry Krebs and Carol Perkins Krebs.

Karen was driven and encouraged those around her to achieve success which she, herself did with the business she created in her early thirties called The Peddleworks, specializing in quality crafts. This blended over into a lifetime of unique visions for home décor and antiquing that her husband happily brought to life. She was a lover of animals and devoted her life to rescue missions by adopting five dogs and gave them the most warm, safe and spoiled haven, to the point that they thought all of the packages delivered to the home were for them. Always in the quest for knowledge and a deal, she taught her husband and daughter how to find the best bargain and learn financial acuity while securing that for others by being the bookkeeper for The Birches Condominiums. In retirement she enjoyed reading, internet sleuthing and camping with her husband in a travel trailer up in Old Orchard Beach where she could dream of the next home they could design.

Karen is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bob Sandquist, her loving daughter Summer Sandquist, son Sean Sandquist, brother Keith Krebs and his wife Cyndy, several nieces and nephews and her ever loyal companions Boootiful Annie and Tanker-doodle.

It was Karen's wish that services be private and there be no callings hours.

Aunt Karen was so much fun at Christmas. She decorated her presents beautifully. We had a contest, then she told everyone to sniff their presents and guess what the presents were.
We would laugh and have fun. It was great.
