Margaret C. Kabaniec

Erving, MA - Margaret C. (Madden) Kabaniec, age 91, formerly of Erving passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024, at the Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility in Greenfield. She was born in Lewiston, Maine on April 2, 1933, the daughter of Daniel and Margaret (Kavanaugh) Madden. Margaret attended Turners Falls High School. Margaret worked at Deerfield Academy in the housekeeping department until her retirement.

Margaret loved her family; she was a devoted wife and mother, and family was truly her life. She leaves a daughter, Sandra Kabaniec of Turners Falls, MA; a son, Chester Kabaniec, Jr. and his partner Jack Knapp of Venice, FL; a grandson Corey of Worcester; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband Chester J. Kabaniec, Sr. (2011), her brother Henry J. Madden (2022), sister-in-law Mary Louise Madden (2018).

A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday 12/10 at 10am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 84 K Street, Turners Falls. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Turners Falls.

There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
