Mary Ann Anderson

1946 - 2018

NORTHFIELD – Mary Ann "Molly" (McCollum) Anderson of Northfield, and Bonita Springs, Fla., passed away August 31, 2018, at home in Northfield surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with cancer.

Molly was born on August 26, 1946, to Robert H. and Helen P. (Bonneville) McCollum of Northfield. She was educated in Northfield and graduated from Pioneer Valley Regional School in 1964. She attended Greenfield Community College and Keene State College. In 1969 she marred Robert "Bob" C. Anderson of Brattleboro, Vt. She retired from Verizon in 1994, and when Bob retired they became snow birds in Bonita Springs, Fla.

Molly was very active at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Bonita Springs where she served on the Altar Guild and volunteered at the Penny Wise thrift shop. She was also a long time member of the Bonita Springs Shell Club. She held a special place in her heart for her Shell Club Family. She kept in touch with her Northfield school friends and her dear friends from the Telephone Co. She considered herself the richest person in the world to have such wonderful friends. She was predeceased by her husband Bob in 2011, their youngest son, Clayton, in 2015, and her sister Beverly "Jean" in 2006.

She is survived by her beloved daughter Victoria Anderson and her children Ralilah and Amaris of Northfield, her oldest son Troy Anderson of California, and his children Tori, Jordan, and Savannah, her former beloved daughter-in-law, Emily Juster of Amherst. She also leaves her beloved brother Robert McCollum Jr. and his beautiful daughter, Amanda Diamond. Sister-in-laws, Deryl Anderson of Brattleboro, Vt. and Doreen Christian of Liverpool, England. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, especially Jim and Julie Seavey of Keene, N,H, who were the closest to Molly and made the last few months of her life a very special and loving time for her.

A graveside service in Green River Cemetery, Greenfield, will be at a future time to be announced.

Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or your favorite animal rescue.
