Nancy Billings Obituary
Deerfield , MA - Nancy P. Billings 93, lifelong resident of Deerfield, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on August 9th 2024. She was born on June 26th 1931, daughter of the late Catherine (Kurkoski) and Anthony Grybko. Nancy was predeceased by her brothers - Charles, Edward, Leonard, and Robert. She married the love of her life, Merritt D. Billings, June 30th 1950. The two of them spent 74 wonderful years together. Merritt sadly passed away nine days later of a broken heart. Nancy's daughter, Randi Billings also passed away shortly after, following a lengthy illness.
She leaves behind her brother John of Turners Falls, daughter Susan Mignault (Joseph) of Deerfield, son Deane (Donna) of Charlemont, grandchildren - Patrick, Kelly, Charity, Sidra, Sabra and Jason along with several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy (Nanna/MaB) will always be remembered for her love of puzzles, chocolates with nuts, her sense of humor, infectious laugh and never leaving the house without a button-up shirt paired with earrings and a lovely brooch. She will be greatly missed by her family.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff at Hospice of the Fisher Home along with the kindness, support and care received by Susan and Charity, which made for a peaceful and painless passing at home. In honoring of her wishes, there will be no calling hours and a private service will be held with immediate family. I worked with Randi at Phoenix insurance company for many years. She was smart funny kind and always friendly. I enjoyed knowing and working with her. I am so sorry Sue for your loss.
