Shane Skerritt Obituary
Besides his father he leaves his wife Jennifer "Jen" Burns of Riverside RI, daughter Amaya of Calera AL, his brothers, Peter of West Springfield, MA, Devon and his wife Courtney of Richardson, TX, Trevor and his wife Lydia of Erving, MA, Tristan and his wife Petra of Springfield, MO, and Shiloh of Ware, MA, and his sister Tammy Kolodziel of Ware, MA.
Shane was a voracious reader of books. He loved spending time in his garage, creating video blogs, and playing cards with his friends. He enjoyed history, auto racing and music. He loved animals, especially cats.
All Services are private to be held at his family's convenience. There are no Calling Hours.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Rhode Island SPCA or a charity of one's choosing.
Charbonneau Funeral Home of Ware, MA is entrusted with arrangements.
To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Yes,it seems that Shane made a lot of friends on Liveleak. Many of them have never met him personally,they never shaked his hands,but their friendship, was sincere,and their respect for him,tangible and authentic.

Shane had the biggest heart and he made the lives of others a little brighter through his kindness. He helped me to get sober, and in any conversation with him I always felt like I could be myself, and we always shared a good laugh. I believe that in the life beyond this one where Shane lives on today, there is a special place for him. As this sad news has spread, so many people have shared that just by being himself Shane lifted up their spirits, supported their hopes and dreams, and helped in many ways that we will never know, and I'm grateful to have had a chance to chat with him for a bit over the years. May he rest in peace, and to Shane's family I am so sorry for your loss.
