Stanley Sadowski Obituary

Stanley W. Sadowski

WHATELY, MA — Stanley "Stosh" W. Sadowski, 66, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Stanley was born in Montague, MA on November 9, 1954 to Dorothy F. (Baranoski) and Walter J. Sadowski. Stosh graduated from Frontier Regional High School in South Deerfield in 1972 and attended Greenfield Community College. While at Frontier, he played baseball and was an outstanding catcher; his secret desire was to try out for the Red Sox. After high school he still participated in sports, exceling in softball and horseshoes. When he retired, he was working as a carpenter following in his father's footsteps. His interest in hunting and fishing lead him to own Country Sports in South Deerfield. In addition to hunting and fishing, he enjoyed metal detecting, coin collecting, and working in his vegetable garden. Stan was an avid Red Sox fan, Patriots fan and lover of dogs. He was a member of the Polish Club and Holy Family Roman Catholic Church.

Stosh leaves behind his sister Cynthia Kicza and her husband James; two nephews: JJ Nuttelman and James Kicza, Jr. and 2 great nieces whom he adored and loved very much: Natilie and Lydia Kicza. Both his parents Dorothy and Walter predeceased him. He will be missed by many friends and relatives.

Still think of him often and lament being out of town and unable to assist with his service. We were in many ways brothers of sorts.

I had worked with Stan at the Bendix tool factory for many years we worked side by side most of the time

So sorry. Another old buddy dating back to Little League gone, never forgotten. I will miss bumping into Big Stosh in my travels down Long Plain Road. Luckily, I had spent a little time with him in the past two years. Sorry to have missed his service. Was out of town on long-ago planned engagement. He was a good man, a forever friend and will be missed by all who knew him as I did.
