Wendell Lyon Obituary
Shelburne, MA — Wendell P. Lyon, 94, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 7, 2021. Formerly of Shelburne he lived his last few years at the Charlene Manor in Greenfield, cared for by a compassionate nursing and physical therapy staff.
Wendell lived ALL living things, especially his many pets and flowers of all colors which he loved to pick and decorate his home. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping outside right on the ground.
He leaves two nieces, Martha Kinghorn of Vernon, VT and Evie Bohonowicz of Shelburne Center, and one nephew Frank Shields of Watsonville, CA. He also leaves several grand nieces and nephews as well as his many friends at Highland Village in Shelburne Falls.
Wendell was predeceased by his sister Elaine Shields and brother Stanley Lyon.
A graveside service will take place at the convenience of friends and family at East Shelburne Cemetery on Route 2.
There are no calling hours.
Wendell requested that there be no flowers and for donations to be sent to the Franklin County Sheriff's Triad Program, 160 Elm St., Greenfield, MA 01301
