Diane Mendivil Obituary
Diane Mendivil was born on October 23,1937 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025. When she was 9, her family moved to Lindsay.
She attended College of the Sequoia's and then Airline School, where she worked for TransCanada Airlines before moving back to Lindsay. Diane worked at the family owned McClure Pharmacy and also as an Administrative Assistant at Lindsay Hospital and other Insurance Brokerage Companies.
Diane was a member of PEO Chapter EH and was a member of the OBF committee selling carnival tickets at Bobs Drive-In for years. She was an Ambassador for the City of Lindsay and Grand Marshall for the Lindsay Orange Blossom Festival in 2022.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Grace McClure; her sister, Marilyn Wilsey; her brother, James McClure; son-in-law, Dave Sneed; father of her children, Duwaine Branch; and former husband, Richard Mendivil, Sr.
Diane's greatest joy and accomplishment was her family. She is survived by her children, Debbie Sneed (Ernie), Dick Branch (Dana) and Doreen Blue. She was affectionately known as Grandma Di to 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She has a host of extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank Visiting Angels and Ruth Woods Open Arms House for the care and compassion shown to our mom.
A graveside service will be held at Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery (639 S Foothill Ave) in Lindsay, California on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
