Edward Eckman Obituary

Ed Eckman, 79 of Porterville, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Dec. 14, 2011. He was born May 17, 1932 in Detroit, Mich. to E.J. Eckman and Catherine Eckman. The oldest of three children of which he had two sisters. Ed graduated from Bentley High School. Ed proudly served our country in the United States Army. One of his many duties was to play taps for the funerals of other service men and women.

He was a member of American Legion, Porterville Church of God, Porterville Amateur Repeater Association.

Ed loved music and fishing, but mostly he loved his family and God. Ed is survived by his wife, Marilyn Eckman of Porterville, step-children Chris Gray, Dana Andrade, Leslie Bell, Terry Williams, Regina Jones, Paul Thompson, Lisa Navarro, and brother-in-law Orville Meining.

Service will be held Saturday, January 14th, 11:00am at the Porterville Church of God.
