George Moreno, our beloved husband, dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away August 7, 2024 in Porterville, California at the age of 82. George was born May 13, 1942 in Fresno, California to Lorenzo and Consuelo Moreno. George is survived by his wife of 51 years Judith Moreno, sons George Jr. Moreno, Jeff Moreno, Bryan Moreno (Melissa), stepson Darin Orosco (Rosalinda), granddaughters Bianca Moreno, Bertha Moreno, and Samanthagene Orosco, grandson Andrew Orosco, "grandson" John Baldwin, great-grandson and best friend Ivan, great-grandson Santiago, and great-granddaughters Melody and Alana. He is survived by his sister Bertha McPhetridge (Joe). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Salvador "Paco", six brothers, David, Joe, Louie, Lawrence, Donald, Daniel, and three sisters, Connie "Chita" Garcia, Sara Ynclan, Josie "Prieta" Lopez.
George had a kind heart and never said no to anybody that needed help. He enjoyed woodworking and loved to give out his creations to family and friends. He never made just one of anything, but 10-12 of everything that he made. He loved to watch football and Nascar while sitting on the back patio in his recliner. When Ivan was born, he became George's best friend; they hung out all the time, and he would pull Ivan around the yard in a little red wagon or in a Little Tike fire truck. He loved to entertain and have bar-b-cue's with friends and family. George will be greatly missed by all.
A Funeral Service will be held at Myers Chapel in Porterville, California on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Interment to be Private. Immediately after the services, a reception for George's friends and loved ones will follow at the Myers Reception Hall, across the street from the chapel.
