His children; Rosie Perez, Judy Kelly, and Jose Castruita in Atascadero Ca., Maria (Lupe) Castruita in Grover Beach Ca., and Andrew Castruita in Porterville Ca., 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. His siblings; Hector and Luis Castruita, Nicky Martinez, and Angie Zavala, in Porterville Ca.
Our dad was a carpenter by trade, built and created with his hands. With his heart and mind, he was a savior of souls. A member of Fe y Accion de Porterville Ca. Through meeting, prayer, sponsorship, retreats, sharing his wisdom and knowledge our dad was a savior of souls, a Padrino. Hundreds of lives he touched, hundreds he opened his heart and arms to. Truly admired and respected.
Our dad loved his music, until the end, rocking out to Jimi Hendrix. He always said, 'we are spirits, living in a material world'-The Police.
Dad, our wish is that your now free to fly. Sir Elton John wrote it best, ' And someone saved my life tonight sugar bear. Sweet freedom whispered in my ear. You're a butterfly and butterflies are free to fly. Fly away, high away, bye bye'.
Services for our dad will be Friday May 5th at Whitehurst-Peters-Loyd Funeral Home 195 N. Hockett St. Porterville Ca. 2:00pm to 8:00pm; Members of Fe y Accion will present a service at 4:00pm to 6:00pm,
Rosary will begin at 6:00pm. Donations can be made by contacting the funeral home @(559) 784-6485.
