Manuela Garza Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother Manuela M. Garza.
Manuela transitioned peacefully on July 23, 2023 surrounded by family in Porterville, California.
Born on November 26, 1931 to Torivio Martinez and Dominga Escobar in Ballinger, Texas,
Manuela shared a loving marriage with her husband Salome Garza Sr. from 1948 until his
passing in 1982. Manuela is survived by her brother Lee Gomez and her children Salome Garza
Jr., Lucy Leon, Peter Garza, Paul G. Cooper, Linda Rodriguez, and Jaime Garza. Manuela was
blessed with 27 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. During her time here, she was an avid bingo player and enjoyed embroidering. Her unending kindness and love for her family will be
remembered and cherished by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed, and memories of her will be forever engraved in our hearts.
The chapel service will be held at Myers Chapel, Porterville on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 3:00 PM. Interment to be private.
