Marlene Dunn Obituary

Name

Marlene Marie Dunn passed away on April 25, 2024 in Hanford, CA at the age of 52.

Marlene is survived by her husband Jeff Dunn of Hanford, CA; children Ashlyn Dunn of

Hanford, CA and Austin Dunn of San Luis Obispo, CA; brothers Galen Golden (Joy) of Durant, OK and Jared Golden (Robin) of Pottsboro, TX; mother-in-law Sharon Dunn of

Ventura, CA; sister-in-law Karyn Dunn of Discovery Bay, CA; nephews Gage Golden of Hanford, CA and Ian Prehm of Discovery Bay, CA; niece Zoe Prehm of Discovery Bay, CA. Marlene was proceded in death by her grandparents Rev. Elmer and Rose

Golden and her father-in-law Gerry Dunn.

Marlene was born in Porterville, CA in 1971. She graduated from Monache High School

in 1989. After moving to Texas, Marlene returned to Porterville. She then moved to Hanford where she met her loving husband, Jeff. They were married on May 16, 1998.

After a few years she became a mom, raising two beautiful children. She loved spending time with family, crafting, hosting family gatherings (Easter was her favorite), helping out at her kids school, attending all their sporting events, and enjoyed spending summers at the beach in Pismo and Morro Bay. Marlene was a loving and devoted mother, one of the best. She worked hard to support her children and family in any way she could. Marlene was always proud of Ashlyn and Austin and loved them deeply.

Marlene was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, niece, and the best cousin. She was loved by our family and is watching over us from heaven.

Services will be held at Koinonia Church in Hanford, CA on May 10th at 2:00 pm

My heart is broken today. Such crushing news. I´m in utter shock. We were really close friends my Junior year in high school. Those high school years were a lot of fun. Marlene was a great person. I´m so very sorry for her family´s loss. My sincere condolences.

So many memories from our younger years. She taught me how to drive a stick shift. Lots of good times at her Grandpas house playing in the church. Had many laughs when my girls entertained everyone as flower girls at Jeff and Marlene's wedding. We will be together again someday my friend.

Marlene was an incredible women. Her family meant everything to her. She was the glue that bound the family together. She lived with us one summer and took care of my 2 girls. It was the best time being able to spend that time with her as she embarked into being a teenager. She will be missed as she was loved so much!

We had some really fun times when we were younger. She was a very kind person and I was really grateful we reconnected via fb some years ago. Fly high Marlene. You are missed.
