Oakley Jones born in Fountain Valley, California, on July 25, 1992, passed away on October 5, 2025 at the age of 33 in a tragic motorcycle accident. Oakley lived a life full of heart, laughter, and authenticity. He graduated from Citrus High School and was known for his free spirit, kind heart, and barefoot way of living always grounded and connected to the world around him.
Oakley found true happiness in building a family and being a devoted father. He leaves behind his fiancée, Christen Strawn, and their children Monte, Juniper, and his stepchildren, London and Oliver two of whom he lovingly raised and treated as his own. His love for all four of them knew no limits, and he poured his soul into being the kind of man, father, and partner they could forever be proud of.
Oakley's journey through life reflected his deep love for humanity and the natural world. He was passionate about saving and rehoming animals, caring deeply for the earth, and working with conservation efforts to make the world a better place and "leave no trace". The Tule River was his sanctuary a place of peace, laughter, and reflection. He loved being outdoors, surrounded by natures calm, where his spirit felt most at home.
A talented soul, Oakley could play nearly any instrument he picked up, always eager to learn and share music with others. He was full of curiosity and creativity, always finding beauty in the simple things. His barefoot freedom, love for the river, joy in learning, and deep appreciation for the people around him continue to shine through the lives he touched.
Oakley was deeply proud of the work he shared with his father at Aircooled Heating & Cooling, Inc., a bond that reflected not just skill and passion, but the unbreakable connection between them. His work ethic and dedication showed in every project, always done with care and pride.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother Jeanie Rittinger, great-grandfather Bob Jones, great-grandparents Bill and Harriet Padilla, uncles Barry and David Murphy, and his beloved dog, Dwight Jones, who will greet him in Heaven.
He is survived by his parents, Bryan and Robin Jones; his sister Alexis Jones and husband Ryan Poe, nephew Carson Poe; his fiancée, Christen Strawn, and their children Monte, Juniper, London, and Oliver; his grandfather Michael Jones; and his brother by spirit, Devin Ince, along with extended family and countless friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A Celebration of Life and Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration in honor of Oakley will be held on November 2nd from 12 PM to 4 PM at the Veterans Memorial Building (1900 W Olive, Porterville, CA 93257). Family and friends will gather to share memories, laughter, and love as they celebrate Oakley's everlasting spirit. Guests are encouraged to bring photos to include in his altar as a way of keeping his light and memory alive.
As Ram Dass once said, We are all just walking each other home. Oakley walked this earth barefoot, free, and full of love leaving behind footprints that will never fade.
