Ruben Hernandez Obituary

Ruben R. Hernandez passed away peacefully Thursday, August 8th at his home in Madera, California after a long illness.He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and nephew.
He was born in 1954 in Corpus Christy, Texas to Blasita and Ralph Hernandez. He graduated in 1973 from Porterville High School, and moved to Madera where he married and started a family. He enjoyed playing his guitars, BBQ's with friends and family, camping, fishing and working on his yard.
A huge Beatles fan since childhood. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. In his younger years he attended many Rock Concerts and had an enormous collection of music. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carolyn Patton Hernandez, his sons, Ralph (Stephanie), Joseph and Michael Hernandez, grandson Elijah Hernandez. Mother, Blasita R. Henandez; Brothers, Leo (Wendy) and Robert Hernandez; Sisters, Linda Ontiveros and Dolly Balangue (Willy) and many nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his father Ralph M. Hernandez and brother Ralph Hernandez Jr.
Services will be held in Madera, California.

Brother, I already miss talking to you on the phone. Although I miss you dearly, I know that you are resting peacefully without anymore pain or suffering. Ruben, I will forever treasure the good times we shared growing up. Thank you for being a wonderful brother and loving Uncle to my children. We all love you and will miss your funny jokes,listening to your music, playing your guitar and hanging out with the family and when I hear a song from the "Beatles" I will instantly be reminded of you and your great love for music.
