Earlier today
I have happy memories of Kay and Sue during our years in Springville Women's Club. Pie making, the Apple Festival, Christmas parties and general meetings. I miss both of them now, and these memories are making me smile. Rest in Peace, Sue. I hope happy memories will bring smiles to you Kay.

Some of my sweet childhood memories will always be tied to visiting Aunt Sue "Soup" and Uncle Larry "Hairy" when I stayed with Grams and Poppy (My grandparents, and Sue's loving sister, Kay and Bob Tally) at the farm in Springville. Those days felt simple and full, filled with laughter, creativity, and the kind of warmth that sticks with you long after you´ve grown up.
I remember going with her to her school and watching her teach, seeing firsthand how gifted and natural she was with others. She had a way of making things come alive, especially in the art techniques she shared with me as a child. Those moments, creating alongside her, and learning from her, are memories I will always treasure.
But more than anything, I´ll remember how she made us laugh. She had a playful spirit and a sense of humor that made moments feel lighter. I can still hear her calling my twin sister and me by the famous nicknames she gave us, "Fred Smurts Webb and Bertha Butts". Mallory and I thought of those silly names today, and how, almost 40 years later, we still can't help but giggle.
Aunt Sue will be remembered so fondly, particularly for what she did in her community and with her friends. Loved, known, and always smiling. I´m grateful for the memories I have with her. She will be missed by many.
Our family is also carrying a quiet layer of grief in not being welcomed to gather and honor her life in the way we had hoped. Even so, we hold onto what matters most: our memories, our love for her, and the ways she shaped each of us. No circumstance or individual(s) can take that away.
Rest peacefully, Aunt Sue. You were deeply loved and fondly remembered.

Dear Aunt Sue "Soup",
You will certainly be missed and fondly remembered in many wonderful memories of my childhood, visiting Springville at Grams and Poppy's Farm (Kay and Bob Tally). Wishing you much peace and joy as you enjoy eternity with Jesus and are reunited with Uncle Larry "Hairy". Love, Your Great Niece Sarah "Bertha Butts"
