Deborah L. Turvy, 68, of Van Wert, died Saturday evening, October 21, 2023 at her residence. Debbie was born on February 19, 1955, in Washington Court House, Ohio to James and Ann (Ducey) Polk. On June 6, 1987 she married Keith Turvy, who survives in Van Wert.
She retired as an administrative assistant. She had formerly worked for various businesses in Van Wert.
Debbie enjoyed being around the water, The Ohio State Buckeyes, caring for her pets and, most importantly, she loved being with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Keith, Debbie is survived by her mother, Ann Polk of Tucson, Arizona; her sons, Scott (Misty) Marshall of Winter Garden, Florida and Travis (Kenzie) Turvy of St. Henry, Ohio; her grandchildren, Addison Marshall and Landon Turvy; a brother, Dr. James (Ferne) Polk of Spotsylvania, Virginia; a sister, Diane Cain of Tucson; and a step-sister, Christa Polk of Sabina, Ohio.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, James Polk.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert.
Family and friends are invited to visit from 10:00AM-12:00PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials may be directed to the Van Wert County Humane Society, 550 Fox Rd, Van Wert, Ohio 45891.
