DONALD RAY MONGOLD, age 75, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 9:22 a.m. at his home.
He was born on April 4, 1941 in Fayette County to Harold and Violet Howland Mongold. He retired from Mac Tool in Sabina after 38 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and camping.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Anna Mae Belles, Harold "Wood" Mongold, Rodney Mongold, and Kenneth Mongold as in-laws, Phillip and Rose Ford.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ford Mongold, whom he married on July 1, 1961, just celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary; his children, Jeffrey (Karla) Mongold and Kevin (Beverly) Mongold; grandchildren, Matthew Mongold and friend, Ronalee Kearns, Darian Mongold and Tarah Mongold; great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Levi, Emily, Eliza and Nadia; brother, Larry Mongold; sisters-in-law, Liz Mongold and Mary Greenlee and brother-in-law, Larry (Jane) Ford as well as several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Chaplin Jeff Davis officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
