Funeral services for Edwin Meyer, 89, of Washington Court House was held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Sugar Grove United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Todd Wallace officiating. Pallbearers for the burial in Bloomingburg Cemetery were Rob Meyer, Brian and Brice Cartwright, Todd Evans, Scott McCoy and Caleb McKinney. Honorary pallbearers were Erik Andrews and Oscar McKinney. Full military honors was bestowed at the grave by Veterans of Fayette County consisting of Bill Foody, Commander of Honor Guard, Tom Slager, Shelton Litton, Chuck Snyder, James Thayer, David Miller, John Mason, Cecil Ratliff, Charles "Buck" Harris, Mike Curl and bugler; Stephen Zastron. The flag of the WWII Navy Veteran was folded by Paul Sands and Cliff Puckett and presented to Ed's wife; Marjorie Meyer. Ed passed away on Thursday September 22, 2016 in Wilmington. Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville handled the arrangements.

I was so sorry to hear that Uncle Edwin had passed. He was very helpful to me when I started working on the family tree. I always enjoyed being around him. I will keep the family in my prayers.

We love this man. Such a sweet soul.
When we would go out to eat, Ed and Dutch would put fingers in shape of goal post and flick napkins rings at each other. They were just like two little kids playing. They would try to beat the other to see who could pay the bill first, funny, we will miss him so much.
