The funeral service for Glen Helmick Sr., age 87, of Frankfort, formerly of Washington CH, was held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Anchor Baptist Church with Pastor Jeremy Griffith officiating.
Military rites were accorded by the Fayette County Honor Guard consisting of Chuck Snyder, David Frederick, Glenn Rankin, James Thayer, Phil French, Ed Wheaton, and Shelton Litton under the command of Bill Foody. The flag of the US Navy veteran was folded by Mike Curl and Pat Dewees and presented to Mr. Helmick's son, Ron Helmick. Taps were sounded by Stephen Zastrow and Larry Bishop.
Pallbearers for burial at the Highlawn Cemetery were Todd Helmick, Cliff Ford, Brad Schweitzer, Jason O'Dierno, Rick Amore, and Tom Bristow.
Mr. Helmick passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Adena Medical Center.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Summers Funeral Home.
