Ruth W. Coe, 97, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Sunday, March 18, 2018, at 10 p.m. at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Vicki Coe.
Mrs. Coe was born April 23, 1920, in Washington Court House, Ohio to Samuel and Elma Ruth Wolf. She lived most of her life in this community.
She was a receptionist for Phillip E. Binzel, M.D., for 35 years. Previously to that, she had worked 15 years at Downtown Drug.
Mrs. Coe had been a member of the First Baptist Church since she was eleven years old and had formerly served as a volunteer with the Fayette County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Mrs. Coe was preceded in death by her husband, Frank M. Coe, on March 26, 1997, and by two sisters, Virginia Leasure and Elva Clay.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Vicki Coe of Washington Court House; a daughter and son-in-law, Dixie Lee and James Daugherty of South Solon; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday, March 22, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with the Rev. Joe Current, pastor at the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.

Tommy and family. Sorry for the loss of your Mother, I have great memories of her being the neighborhood nurse and fixing up our battle scars, riding in your Mom and Dad's Corvair, miniture golf in the back yard.
