WILMA JEAN WYNNE, age 90, of Washington CH, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 10:05 a.m. at St. Catherine's Manor.
She was born on December 22, 1926 in Fayette County to William Creighton and Clarabelle Bolden Bennington. Wilma Jean and her husband Jim owned and operated Wynne's Overhead Garage Door Service. She was a faithful member of the Heritage Memorial Church, and the Good Will Sunday School Class. She enjoyed crafting, playing euchre, and being with her family and grandchildren.
Wilma Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James E. "Jim" Wynne, whom she married on November 1, 1947, and her sisters, Geraldine Mitchell and Wanda Lee Boldman.
Survivors include her children, Eddie (Linda) Wynne, Judy (Larry) Mowery, and Joy (Shawn) Ost; grandchildren, Angela (Lance) Ferneau, Stephanie (Travis) Fling, Jamie Mowery, Seth (Anna) Ost, and Isaac Ost and his fiancé, Jenny Grigsby; great-grandchildren, Cammy, Courtney, Sydney, Jessica, Emma, Mallory, and Mason; and siblings, Betty Lou (Fred) Fleak, Mary Ann (Gary) Cockerill, and Shirley Lynne Speakman. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Duvall, Bob Carroll, and Jeff Davis officiating with burial to follow at the Bloomingburg Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
