Born on July 30, 2007, our precious baby Alia (pumpkin pie/princess) left us to join god and
became our guardian angel on November 14, 2007. Our sadness and disbelief will one day be overshadowed by what Alia meant to our family while she was here with us. Arianne (Addy) and Ayden (Bro bro) absolutely adored their baby sister and couldn't wait until she got older to play with them. Alia enjoyed watching cartoons and DVD movies with her sister and brother. She especially loved having her older sister and brother take turns holding her in their arms. Alia's eyes lit up when her brother and sister were around and she would talk (coo) to them all the time. Arianne misses you so much. Mommy and daddy enjoyed having a beautiful baby girl who smiled, giggled, and cooed in our presence. Alia always talked to mommy and daddy every day and couldn't wait to interact. We knew how much you loved us, as we could see it in your beautiful blue eyes whenever you looked at us. You had such love in those eyes. Mommy loved how comforted you were just by my presence or touch. Daddy loved how you always laughed especially hard at the silly sounds he made with his mouth. You always tried to "ham it up" when daddy was around. Alia was a social baby who loved to interact with anyone that was in her view. Every day we had with you will be cherished, as your memories will live on with us for the rest of our lives. We felt your love as we shared our love with you everyday through our interactions. Your smiling face with those big cute dimples will never be forgotten. You are a part of our hearts forever. We miss you even more than words can describe! WE LOVE YOU ALIA!!!!! Alia brought so much joy and excitement to her grandparents as they shared many special moments together. She will be dearly missed by all her grandparents.
She is survived by her mother and father, Darci and Robert Torres; sister, Arianne, and brother, Ayden. She also has loving grandparents Robert and Nena Torres, Larry and Cathy Howe and Denise Howe and Jerry Theiler. She also has numerous cousins, uncles, aunts, and many other relatives.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday , November 10, 2007 at 10:00 AM at St. Lukes Catholic Church, 3847 N. Sutter Street, Stockton, Ca. 95204. Recitation of the Rosery will be Monday, November 19, 2007 at 4:00 PM at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California Street, Stockton, Ca. 95202.
Visitation Monday, November 19, 2007 from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM at DeYoung Memorial Chapel..

Dear baby Alia,
It has been one year today that you became our precious guardian angel. Auntie went to visit you today in your resting place, i gave you some balloons with butterflies on them and a angel with your birthstone color on it and a couple of other things. I miss you and love you so much, I wish i could hold you in my arms again. My thoughts and prayers are with you,daddy,mommy,arianne,and ayden. If tears could build a stairway,and memories a lane,we would walk right up to heaven to bring you home again. No fairwell words were spoken,no time to say goodbye,you were gone before we knew it,and god only knows why. Our hearts still ache in sadness and secret tears still flow,what it meant for us to lose you,no one will ever know.

Baby Girl,
Your spirit and memory lives on through me, mommy, arianne, and ayden. We miss you everyday but especially today as it marks a significant anniversary we wish we could turn back the clock on. We keep you in our thoughts and prayers daily. We adore your beautiful photos we keep posted in our home for all to see. The many special visits to your final resting place is comforting but also difficult knowing we can't hold you in our arms. We will be reunited again but until then we will cherish the memories you left us with in the short time we got to spend with you. We miss your smile and laughter. We love you very much.

I woke up today with sadness in my heart. It pales in comparison with what you must be feeling today. I think about Alia daily and especially today I will pray for each one of you. Baby Girl,
Today is your birthday and words can't describe the emptiness I feel without you here today. Happy 1st Birthday my precious angel. In celebration of this special day; me, mommy, Arianne, Ayden and 25 of our closest family and friends joined you today at the cemetary. We had 100+ ballons released for you, released 12 large beautiful Monarch butterflies, and had cake. Also on hand were two scrapbooks mom made for you to share with everyone. Mom also read some very personal notes about your life and what it meant to her and our family.
It is hard to imagine the rest of your birthdays being this way without you here to help us celebrate but none the less you deserve no less. We wouldn't sacrafice this date July 30, 2007 that you brought such joy and excitement to our family.
We hope you get all those beautiful ballons we sent your way today. We also hope and wish the Monarchs we released begin a reproduction cycle in the area for you and us to enjoy for many years.
Happy Birthday Princess. I love you so much and miss you every day until we meet again.

I saw your entry in your Grandma's page, so I went to view Alia's and my heart just dropped. I am so sadden to see such a young and beatiful baby. I can,t believe you are gone,and I,ll never get to see you again,When you were born I saw you in the nursery window,and you lookde just like your mommy when she was born.Everytime I saw or held or talked to you,you responded in some way.You tried to talk back to me at just 2 mos old.You would watch my mouth and make noises in your own little language.I told your mommy that I thought you would talk early like she did.She told me once that it sounded like you were saying Hi!I wish you could have stayed,so I could always say Hi to you.Never did I think it would be goodbye.I,ll never get to see you grow but I knew you were something special and always would have been.
