David Earl Landi passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2018 in Sacramento, CA at the age of 67. David is survived by his sons Jeffrey & Matthew, his daughter-in-laws Heather & Erin, his 7 grandchildren; Nathan, Ryan & Maren and Maximus, Marco, Miles & Mateo of Sacramento, his Aunt Norma Landi of Rio Vista, Uncle Rev. Lodovico J. Landi of San Francisco, brother Walter F. Landi, Jr. of Lodi and former wife and friend Susan Landi of Sacramento. Jerry Ratchford of Rio Vista. David spent nearly every weekend at Ciavarella field cheering for his cherished grandchildren from the bleachers and is the place where their fondest memories of him will exist. He is preceded in death by his parents Walter F. Landi, Sr. and Lola J. Landi of Rio Vista, sister Gail Ann Landi of Rio Vista and his beloved, David was born on September 26, 1950 in Rio Vista, California. After graduating from Rio Vista High School in 1969 he later served in the Air Force Reserves and ran W.F. Landi Trucking as well as Landi Properties until his retirement.
A Rosary will be held at CE Stewart Funeral Home in Rio Vista on Thursday September 20th at 7pm. A funeral is scheduled for 10am on Friday September 21st at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rio Vista. All are welcome to attend and celebrate David's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to support the River Park Youth Baseball Association at River Park Baseball, Inc. PO Box 19132, Sacramento, CA 95819. He will be missed deeply.

Sending sympathy to you and your family. I just recently lost my uncle who was a good friend with Walter Landi. Been trying to find him to let him know that Rich passed away. Sorry to see you go. I just found out of your passing. Didn't realize you were in Sacramento. Always remember the great times we shared at our homes, mini-vacays, and on the yacht. You were a very special person to our family. You disappeared on us when you moved and now you are gone. You will always be remembered fondly.
