Gloria Bennett of Acampo, California passed away on November 2, 2010, due to an
injury sustained
by a fall, and other health problems. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 25, 1933, to Phillip and Mary Vitale. She was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved gardening, and she was a collector of pretty things. Gloria was tender-hearted, and she was loved by everyone she touched. Gloria is survived by her family who loved, and continues to love her dearly.
She is survived by her husband, Danial Bennett of 42 years; son, Greg Tarvin; daughter, Maria
Bennett; grandchildren, Carol, Guy, Christine, Christopher,
Kimberly, Anthony, Nick, Carlos, Jr., Holly; great-grandchildren,
Sebastian, Taylor, Mariana, Eddie, Luke, Lydia, Ariana, Cicily, Geo, Olivia,, Dakota, Nico, and
Cheyenne; brothers, Dante and Sal Vitale; sisters, Florence Weng and Virginia Bechthold. She was preceded in death by her parents; her three brothers, Leo, John, and Joe Vitale; and her sister, Rosie (Vitale) McCormick.
Friends are invited to visit Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held on Monday, November 8th, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with committal to immediately follow at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. A virtual register book may be signed at www.lodifuneralhome.com where memories can be shared. Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
