Janice (Downing) Everitt

Janice (Downing) Everitt, a long time resident of Stockton, passed away January 14, 2010 at the age of 75. Born on December 28, 1934, Janice was born to the late Mable Lawrence and Oscar Downing in Hanford, California. The family moved to Stockton when Janice was a young girl. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Donald Everitt. The two married in 1951 at the age of 15 and 16 and remained committed to one another until her late husband's death, January 23,1993. Also predeceased by Raymond Everitt, her companion for the past ten years and her brother, Sonny Downing. She is survived by loving family members including: son, Bill Everitt and wife Betty Jo; son, Mike Everitt and wife Suzanne; daughter, Dawn Trahan; beloved grandchildren Stacey, Rebecca, and Michael Everitt, Cassandra Sabado, Nicole Carroll; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nadine Livesey, Lee Truhett and brother Richard Downing.
Janice was known for her love of all things "frog" and Thunder Hockey. She was a member of the Tokay Model A's Club, the Hobby Club, and a member of Rainbow Rebekah #97 for forty-three years. She loved word games, puzzles, crafts and most recently Facebook/Farmtown/Yoville. Janice loved to travel and to spend time with her family.
Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Mon, Jan 18th, at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary, 809 N. California Street, Stockton. A Funeral Service will be held on Tues, Jan 19, at 1:00 p.m. in the Evergreen Chapel of Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 & Harney Lane. Interment to follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations to American Heart Association and Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary entrusted with the arrangements.

Mike, Bill, and Dawn, I remember all the good times and how nice your mom and dad were to me growing up on Cosmos. I am so sorry for your loss, Jan was a wounderful woman and will be missed.
