Jean Van Sant, passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, December 16, 2006. She was born Jean Victoria Cash, July 22, 1936 to Phoebe Mulligan Cash and Lloyd Cash in Grand Marais Minnesota. Jean moved to Stockton in 1943. She married Loren Van Sant in 1950 and raised two children, Edward and Lorie. She then worked at Sunbeam Bakery which changed to Rainbo Bakery. She was a member of the Bakers Union. She retired in 1990. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Loren Van Sant. She is survived by her mother, Phoebe Walsh of Somerford Place; by children, Lorie (David) Collette of Stockton and Ed (Joann) Van Sant, also of Stockton; siblings, Mabel Ross of Las Vegas, Nevada, Derrel Myers of San Francisco and James Walsh of Stockton; grandchildren, Jason Collette of Citrus Heights and Justin (Elizabeth) Collette of Stockton; and great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Kailey Collette; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
As per her wishes there will be no services. Neptune Society of Northern CA-Stockton Branch is in care of arrangements. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

I thought of Jeannie as my mama. Her love was strongly felt by me & my 2 brothers. She taught me unconditional love. Even now, she appears in my dream whereby I go to her for protection and love.

HI, not sure I have the right family, but I worked with a Phoebe Walsh at Eagle Ford...if same Phoebe, I am Rosalie, spent many happy times and parties at Phoebes house...the pool, etc...so sorry for your loss...often remember our days at Eagle Ford....
