Joseph Charles Sejas (Papa) was born on July 13, 1915 in Barstow, CA. He passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2007. He served in the Army during WWII and received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He worked for California Canners and Growers with 48 years of service and retired in 1980 as a purchasing agent. Joseph was married to Frances Mary Etcheto for 49 years and she preceded him in death. He loved his children, Cecilia Marie Griffith, Raymond Joseph Sejas and Noel Delphina Sejas. He was the cherished grandfather of Marie Kivley, Thomas Griffith, Amy Griffith, Tiffany Semillo, Amber Semillo and Zachary Sejas and great-grand-children, Alexa, Ava, Chris and Anthony. Also survived by relatives from the Lemos, Regalado, Galvez and Freeman families. Joseph was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who was loved by all who knew him. Family and friends are invited to attend a Vigil Service at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Dr., Stockton on Monday, January 22, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Committal at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Luke's Catholic Church, 3847 N. Sutter St., Stockton, CA 95204.
