Lacy Mathis, 69, of Stockton passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2007. Lacy was born in Annaouac, Texas. She spent the majority of her life in Stockton. She retired seven years ago from The San Joaquin County Human Services Agency where she touched so many lives over her twenty-seven year career. Lacy was known for her many passions. She particularly enjoyed her family and friends. Lacy was a woman of compassion and had a special interest in serviving her church in many capacities. She also was involved with local community organizations and projects. Lacy leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Ronald and Robert Mathis, (Katie); brother, Rick Parker; sister, Debra Diane; 7 grandchildren 2 great-grandsons; 2 nieces; 1 nephew; 3 special cousins, Lillie Hill, Opal Chavis and Chavell Gaines and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation: Sunday, February 4, 2007 from 2:00-7:00 p.m. at Thompson Memorial Chapel, 2118 E. Lafayette St., Stockton. Service: Monday, February 5, 2007 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 715 S. Windsor Ave. Stockton. Committal: Stockton Rural Cemetery.

My love and my prayers go out to Mrs.Lacy's Family & Friends. My Mom is Geneva Wyatt and I truly know that Mrs.Lacy was one of her best friends & we will truly miss her. I've had the blessing of knowing Mrs.Lacy for the past 14yrs. She was such a kind and giving person.

I was sorry to learn that Lacy had passed away. I remember her from when I worked at HSA. She was always friendly and cared about her clients.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Lacy's family. I'm Geneva's sister. I met Lacy once, but Geneva loved Lacy and will miss her, especially thier annual trips to Reno.
