Lillian May Eversole
April 21, 1925 - December 10, 2010
May passed away peacefully on December 10, 2010 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton,
CA. After courageously fighting a lengthy illness. May was born and raised in Tavistock, Devon, England. She married Lt. Col. Joseph Eversole, Jr. During World War II and moved to the United States in 1948. She loved living on the Army bases in Germany, Washington, Virginia and California. She took great pride in receiving her United States citizenship. She treasured her associations with the Retired Officers Association, War Brides, St. Anne's Episcopal Church Hospice of San Joaquin, Hospice Butterflies and the Daughter's of the British Empire. May was best known for her warm and loving hospitality, her love of animals, High Teas, dinner parties and perhaps mostly for just pouring a "proper" cup of tea for her friends and loved ones. The family would like to thank May's devoted caregivers, Sarah and Margaret, for the special care and attention they gave her in her final years. May was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Eversole, Jr. in 2003. She is survived by her son, Neal, her daughter, Joanne, her cousin, Joyce Mudge, and her cat, Peter. May leaves a large community of friends and was loved by many.

I was fortunate enough to meet May when I became friends with her wonderful daughter Joanne. I moved to Stockton from Fresno for a new job after completing college and stayed with Karen and Joanne temporarily who were life long friends. Eventually our extended families met and we would host barbecues

May was my grandmothers (Esther Kundert) best friend. As I could remember May I was a young child maybe five years old. Over the years May had been a big part of our family, and was so loving and helpful to others. She made an impact on many lives, and her legacy will live on through others May has touched. Now you and grandma watch over all of us. Love you PS Send grandma loves from me to.
