Richard Sellers Obituary

July 29, 1932 - April 16, 2017
Richard passed away peacefully after a brief illness. Richard was a Navy photographer during the Korean War and retired from the Federal Government General Services Administration after many years of service. One of his greatest joys in life was camping with his grandchildren and his John Wayne Collectibles. He is predeceased by his parents, Henry and Adnah Sellers, son Darren Ronald Sellers and his three wives Debbie Sellers, Jenette Sellers and Barbara Sellers. Survived by his brother Larry Sellers (Jennifer) of North Carolina, children Ricky Sellers (Sulema) of Las Vegas, Rolly Sellers of Sacramento, Patty Metzger (Bill), Diana Cortez (Bob) Laisne Sellers, all of Stockton, Carrie Henry (Vince) of Sumner, WA Steven Schroeder (Debbie) of Virginia. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren along with various cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend services on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Cherokee Memorial Park, Chapel of Flowers followed by interment at Cherokee Memorial Park. At Richard request memorial donations can be made in his memory in lieu of flowers to the Stockton Firefighter's Memorial Fund, Stockton Firefighters Women's Auxiliary or your local VFW.
