Ronald Chan
Stockton - Ronald Chan, 86, passed away at home on June 25, 2021 from cancer. Beloved husband of the late Susie Chan.
He was born in Portland, OR on July 10, 1934 and came to Stockton at a young age. He worked for most of his life as a meat cutter at CentroMart, leaving for a short time to work at the meat processing plant for Safeway. Later in life, he became a real estate broker. As a young man, he served in the US Army stationed in Korea.
Ron was passionate about food, he loved eating as well as cooking and he found great joy in keeping his friends and family well fed. He will be fondly remembered for being kind hearted and friendly to all. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children Randall, Rhonda, Samantha (Klaus Berkling), and Christina (Shannon Stokes); grandchildren Lucy Berkling, Conner Stokes, and Riley Stokes; sisters Lily Lee (Gary) and Doris Luck; brother Mel Chin; brother-in-law Samuel Wahyou and his children Michelle and Sammy Jr. as well as many other nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Art and Jimmy Chan and sister Bessie Lum.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bristol Hospice, including his wonderful Home Health Aide for their care and support.
You are invited to say your goodbyes at a pubic visitation on Friday, July 9, 2021, from 1-7 pm at Chapel of the Palms, 303 S. California St., Stockton. Private burial will be held at Parkview Cemetery

I have many wonderful memories working with Ron in the meat department at Centro Mart on California Street, he was a man of great patience and loved to laugh. My heart goes out to the Chan and Wayhou families. God´s Blessings
