Roseanna Boutte, 92, of Salinas, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. Roseanna was born May 18, 1917 in Delcambre, LA. She was youngest of 15 children.

She was a member of Madonna del Sasso Church, Young Ladies Institute, Catholic Daughters of America, Charter member Culturettes Social Club, and founder of the Ladies Luncheon Group.

Roseanna's gentle and kind disposition was an inspiration to her family and friends. She possessed a humble and loving spirit, a quiet manner and great deal of wisdom. Throughout her long life many family and friends sought out her wise counsel. She was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of know her and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by daughters Ethel Boutte-Kelly of Salinas, Audrey Boutte of Salinas, Andrea Boutte of Fremont and son, Ernest Boutte (and wife Eleanor) of Morada, CA; Grandchildren Mark Boutte of Fresno, Leslie Kelly-Banks of Palmdale, Marlo Boutte Poston (and husband Crosby) of Las Vegas, NV; Great grandchild Dharma Paige Boutte Poston of Las Vegas. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Maurice and Ethea Broussard, all of her brothers and sisters, and husband Joseph "Tim" Boutte who was laid to rest in 2003.

Visitation: Thursday, September 3, 1-5 p.m. at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis St., Salinas. Rosary: Thursday, September 3, 7 p.m. at Struve and Laporte Chapel. Funeral Mass: Friday, September 4, 1 p.m. at Madonna del Sasso Church 320 E. Laurel Dr. Salinas. Burial will follow Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas.
