Walter S. Booth
June 12, 1945 - January 28, 2010
Walter S. Booth passed away on January 28 after a long and courageous battle with variety of illnesses. Walter was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving from 1965 - 1967. Walter then went on to earn a Master of Administration in Public Administration degree in 1976 from the University of California at Riverside. Prior to receiving a heart transplant in 1989 Walter had an extensive list of accomplishments in county government which included managing job training programs as well as overseeing the recovery efforts for the Linda-Olivehurst flood of 1986.
After recovering from his heart transplant Walter turned entrepreneur and owned and operated the 211 Club in Lodi for several years. Walter's ability to deal with the adversities of his declining health and to maintain his good sense of humor was an inspiration to all that knew him.
He is survived by his son Adam, his grandchildren Hailey and Jacob, his brothers; Ronald, Russell and Mark, his sister Tulla and his ex-wife (but good friend to the end) Melissa. He will be fondly remembered by his numerous nieces and nephews.
As per his request his body will be cremated. Ceremonies will be held in New York and Stockton at times still to be determined.

I'll remember Walter for his helpful nature. Eventhough he was in pain, he never thought about himself first. He was a good person and I'll always remember him.

Dear Family, I was so sad to read this news. As i read the name & saw the photo, it was too familiar. As i read further on to see all your names, my heart hurt. I remember bein' at your mom's house for the holidays when everyone was there! How fun it was! Memeories that I'll never forget.! How sad that we have lost touch. Everyones lives seem to go in different directions. Maybe through this sad news, it will reconnect us.Ronald & Russell, I hope you would remember me! Mark & Tulla, you better remember me! I would love to hear from you.Much love and heartfelt sympathy.

My deepest condolences. Walter had a rough go the last few years - but he kept his spirits up. A kind of grace few people could muster. He will be missed by those that knew him.
