Albert Sullivan Obituary

Formerly of Town of Newburgh, NY

Albert Sullivan, 82, a resident of Brooksville, FL since 2004, formerly of the Town of Newburgh, Coral Springs, FL, Mohegan Lake and Yonkers, died at the Brooksville Healthcare Center on Friday, November 13, 2009.

For many years, Albert owned A&M Electric Company in Yorktown Heights. A dedicated Freemason, he was a member of the Livingston Lodge in Scotland. He was also a member of the Yonkers Scots-Americans. During World War II, he served in the British Army.

Born in Hamilton, Scotland on July 16, 1927, he was son of the late Arthur and Sarah Cairney Sullivan. On May 14, 1949, he married Mary Miller in Scotland. Mrs. Sullivan survives at home in Florida.

Additional survivors include two sons, Archibald Sullivan of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and David Sullivan & his wife, Maria of Spring Hill, FL; five grandchildren: Lorraine Yannone & her husband, Raymond of Cornwall, Gary Sullivan of New York City, David Sullivan & his wife, Laura of Tallahassee, FL, Alan Sullivan & his wife, Deborah of Cary, NC, and Darryl Sullivan & his wife, Tracey of Wappingers Falls; ten great-grandchildren: Armand, Heather, David, Andrew, Rachel, Kaitlyn, Brian, Darryl, Dylan, and Donovan; three brothers: Charles, George and John Sullivan, and his sister, Mary Symington.

Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, November 16, at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 17, at the funeral home, followed by interment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
