Haven´t seen Andrew since our College years at BU. However, memories of a great guy and friend will always be with me. Very sorry to have lost him.

On a hot summer day in Santa Fe, I have been daydreaming of the all-too-brief reign here of Andrew and his Double A Restaurant and Bar B. Those were the days--and nights! It was a great scene, and Andrew was the perfect host and designer of a glam night out. When Andrew left town, most of the energy in Santa Fe left with him. I visited him twice in LA. Gatsby continued there, at least for a while...I miss him greatly, but know he lived every moment to its fullest. I'm so glad to have known him...

David, I am so sorry to hear of Andrew's passing. I enjoyed our friendship at BU and had quite a time on our short bike trip around San Francisco during the summer of 1980. By the way, Andrew gave me his professional modeling head shot photo album to hold for him. I was never sure what to do with it. Is that something you would like to have? My sympathies. Denis

Years ago when I lived in California, Andrew was a dear friend of mine. He was one of the most generous, kind hearted and giving people I have ever met. I randomly decided to look him up as I think of him from time-to-time. I read about him on Michael Santo's blog. This news made me extremely sad. Condolences to his brother and family for their loss.

I am a mother who will always be grateful to Andrew for the kindness and friendship he bestowed on my son during a difficult time in his life. They hit it off as their backgrounds are similar. I will not elaborate further here as I plan to write you a short letter. Please know I am sorry for your loss.
May Andrew rest in peace always. Tallie

Our paths diverged not long after high school but I too have very fond memories of my time spend with Andrew and our gang (Fatima, Lisa, Dave and Mitchel) as we survived our senior at MHS. Many good times.

As far as style and panache goes, I'm not sure if MHS had ever seen his equal. I shared many happy memories in the Altchek home. Rest in peace Andrew. The Sakarya family sends its condolences, Fatima Sakarya and Mustafa, Hulya, Dursun Sakarya and Dr. Ismet and Hanife Sakarya
