Anna Carrillo Obituary
Anna Victoria Carrillo, of Plattekill, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. She was 85.
Daughter of the late Louis and Celestina Rosario Yambay, she was born on December 23, 1923 in Puerto Rico. She was married to the late Alfred Carrillo, whom she married on February 15, 1947 in New York City. He predeceased her in 1983.
Anna was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Plattekill. She was a Cadet Scout Leader in the Bronx. She loved live and the outdoors, music and the arts, and playing the organ.
She is survived by her loving children: Carmen Anna Carrillo Hawkins and her husband, Richard, Alfred Carrillo and his wife, Maria and Angelo Carrillo; grandchildren, Christina and Zachary Carrillo; great-grandson, Derek Ooinsky; brothers and sisters: Alfonso Yambay, Christina Pineiro, Carmen Yambay, Rosie Yambay and Delia Sifre.
In addition to her husband, Alfred, she was predeceased by her son, Louis Carrillo.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., today, Friday, May 22, at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney, Ave., Newburgh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Plattekill. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Gardiner.

I am saddened to have heard of your loss. Please accept my sympathies. Anna has always been a very special person to me. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to visit with her last month. My kids still remember Anna & talk about all the ufo movies she used to bring over when she used to babysit. She was a very special lady whom I loved very much. She will always have a special place in my heart. My prayers & thoughts are with you & your family
