Bruce Grey Obituary
Bruce Robert Grey, age 62, of Charleston, SC, died on Monday, April 6, 2009, at his residence.
Born in Oceanside, NY, Bruce grew up in Gardiner, NY. He had lived in the Charleston, SC area for over ten years. He graduated from New Paltz High School and attended Syracuse University. He was employed as a General Manager of the Benson's Ireland Corner Hotel in Gardiner, NY, for over twenty years.
He is survived by his beloved dog, LuLu; one brother, John B. Grey and his wife, Sandra; sister-in-law, Janet C. Grey of Vernon, NJ; three nephews, Jeffrey D. Grey of Montpiller, VT, Franklin L. Grey, Jr. of Vernon, NJ and Jason D. Grey of Asheville, NC; two nieces, Elizabeth Leiter of Vernon, VT and Rachel D. Conner of Tucson, AZ; also their respective families. He was predeceased by his parents, John D. and Elizabeth E. Grey; a brother, Franklin L. Grey, Sr.; nephew, John Stewart Grey.
Graveside memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, April 16, at Bruynswick Rural Cemetery, Bruynswick Rd., Wallkill, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Gardiner Dog Control, PO Box 1, Gardiner, NY 12525.

I remember Bruce as president of our high school class [New Paltz 1964], a vivid personality, popular, a friend. To his friends and family I express my regrets at his passing.

I was saddened to hear of Bruce's passing. I have very fond memories of him and his family as I was growing up in Gardiner. The last time I saw him we shared a lot of laughs. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
