Cecilia E. Gobeo of Middletown, died November 24, 2008 at ORMC Horton Campus. She was 78 years old.

Cecilia was born on February 16, 1930 in Middletown, to the late Ferdinando and Isabella Critelli Fragomeli, the oldest of their four children.

Graduating at the top of her class, Cecilia earned her LPN at the age of 41. She was proud of her children and especially her grandchildren; they were the love of her life. Ceil was owner of Gobeo's Restaurant with her husband, Frank. For over 50 years, she enjoyed being with the girls from the club. Ceil loved spending quiet time with her special "grand dog", Lily.

Cecilia is survived by her two sons, Frank and his wife, Janet of Boca Raton, FL and David and his wife, Kim of Coral Springs, FL; daughter, Barbara A. Gobeo of Middletown, and six grandchildren: Kimberly Brodsky and husband, Harris, Adam McCarey, Frank, Mark, Kevin, David and his wife, Dawn Gobeo.

She was predeceased by her brother, Fred Fragomeli, and two sisters, Frances Borella and Virginia (Jean) Moore.

Visitation hours will be Friday, November 28, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel on Saturday, November 29, at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow, in the family plot, in St. Joseph's Cemetery, 149 Cottage St., Middletown.
