Edward Andryshak Obituary

Edward A. "Eddie" Andryshak, 80, of Goshen, N.Y., died Friday, February 24, 2006 at O.R.M.C., Arden Hill Campus, Goshen, N.Y.

The son of Antone Andryshak and Sophie Buchalski Andryshak, he was born July 10, 1925 in Florida, N.Y.

Eddie retired after 29 years as a Business Manager of the Fuel Department of H.L. & F. McBride Fuel Oil in Goshen, N.Y. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II; a member of the Minisink Hook & Ladder Volunteer Fire Company in Goshen; a life member of V.F.W. Post #1708, Goshen; and a 40-year member of American Legion Post #377 in Goshen. He was also a member of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Goshen, N.Y.

A family statement reads: "Eddie was a well-respected member of the community. He was a friend to all, offering a helping hand whenever needed. He was a loving and devoted husband to Marion for 58 years. He was caring and understanding to his children. He will be sorely missed by all."

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marion J. Heinzelman Andryshak, at home; five loving children: Michael Andryshak and his wife, Linda, of Madison County, N.Y., Stephen Andryshak and his wife, Judy, of Goshen; Mark Andryshak and his wife, Carole, of Middletown, David Andryshak and his companion, Erin, of Goshen; and Kathy Andryshak and her companion, John, of Goshen; two sisters, Helen Lis of Goshen and Clara Grzyb and her husband, Raymond, of Florida, N.Y.; six grandchildren: Jason, Stephen Jr., Valerie, Kelly Lee, Kaitlyn Diane, and Nicholas; one great-grandson, Christopher Jason; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church St., Goshen, N.Y. on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 1 at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave., Goshen, N.Y. Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery, Goshen, N.Y.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049.

Arrangements are by the Donovan Funeral Home.
