Frank Curcio Obituary

Manchester, NJ - Curcio, Frank James died on Thursday, December 6th, 2007 surrounded by his loving family. He was 87.

Born in Manhattan NY, Mr. Curcio was a retired employee of the City of New York. He served in the US Army during WW II.

He treasured his family and friends and brought a welcoming smile, an easy laugh, and a spirit of life and love to all who knew him. His greatest joy was preparing and sharing a holiday celebratory meal with his family.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years Rachel Curcio; his daughters and sons-in-laws: Ann Rose & Henry Simon of Hastings-on-Hudson N.Y., Lorraine & Mike Clemente of Brick N.J., and Jacqueline & Mark Shrekgast of Mahwah, N.J.; his seven grandchildren: Michael Clemente and wife Catherine; Rachel Cluna and husband Daniel; Zachary and Noah Simon; Danielle, Emily and Julianna Shrekgast; great-grandchildren: Kaitlynn and Michael Clemente, and Benjamin Cluna. Brothers, Paul Curcio, John Curcio and wife Leda Curcio.

He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Anna Curcio; sister Rose; brother-in-law Anthony Nazzaro, sister-in-law Marie Curcio.

Visitation with the family will be at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home at 257 Godwin Avenue in Wyckoff, NJ 07481 (www.vpfh.com) on Sunday, December 9 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 10 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 193 Wyckoff Avenue, Ramsey, NJ, 07446. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, N.Y.
