George Kronenberg Obituary

Woodridge, NY

George Norman Kronenberg, a retired manager for Sullivan County Steam Laundry in Woodridge, died Tuesday, December 9, 2008 in Hendersonville, TN. He was 70.

The son of the late Alex Kronenberg and Anne Levine Kronenberg, he was born March 8, 1938 in Woodridge, NY.

A United States Army veteran serving in the Korean War, George was a member of the Woodridge Congregation Ohave Sholem Synagogue.

He is survived by three daughters: Danielle Kronenberg Miller of Nashville, TN, Alison Kronenberg of Hoboken, NJ and Sheri Gudowitz of Hallandale, FL; a brother, Harold Kronenberg of Woodridge; his grandchildren: Ashley, Taylor & Rachel Gudowitz and Emma & Chase Miller; nephew, William Kronenberg and family of Upper Saddle River, NJ, and niece, Lisa Kronenberg of Virginia.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 12, at 11 a.m. at the Woodridge Congregation Ohave Sholem Synagogue, Main Street in Woodridge. Burial will follow in the Woodridge Congregation Ohave Sholem Cemetery in Glen Wild.

Georgie and I were childhood friends. As teenagers, we worked together in the hotels. He was a good friend. He was a good guy. Its been many many years since I have seen him. Many of us, like myself, left Woodridge and never looked back. My deepest sympathy to the family for your loss.
