My heart broke when I heard about Herb's death, the same as when I learned of Hal's death. Words cannot express the fondness I have for both of the Kalin's. We, as muscians, traveled together for many years; and, fortunately for me I was able to keep in touch and see them throughout the years. I'll never forget the last performance I saw when they performed and, as usual, were given a standing ovation. This is indeed a very sad time.....again.

It is indeed a sad day in our industry to see such a talented man leave this old world but now the twins are together again making music elsewhere. We, at the very least have great musical memories of The Kalin Twins. Both brothers treated me with great respect as a fellow performer ...rest in peace Heb

MY Mother, Lyda Mapes Hicks graduated with Herb and Hal from Port Jervis High School in 1952. She loved them both...and we came to know them through her. When she passed away, they both came for her wake...and when Hal passed on last year I sent an email to Herb expressing our sincere sympathy. Now, he has joined his Twin and his other siblings in Heaven. I am sure the other members of the class of '52 were waiting with arms wide open to welcome their classmate Home.
Bless your family during this time of loss.

Our heartfelt sympathies go out to Herb's family. May their love and music live in our hearts forever. Herb and Hal are together again... giving the angels one heck of a concert and serenading the heavens! Pretty sure Stan and Phil are joining in too.

So sad to lose an artist from a wonderful era of music. I add our condolences to so many that are saddened by this loss. For now at least the music of the Kalin Twins continues to reach the hearts of others over the airwaves.

I never knew Herb personally, but The Kalin Twins music touched my life as it did to most others who came of age in the late 50s. I will always cherish their 45s and my memories of seeing them on Dick Clark's TV shows.
