Dad,

I am so sorry that you had to leave us. No matter how many years we had together, it is never enough. I want to say thank you for all you have done for Jimmy, me and our family. You were the best Dad, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, loving, generous and a true gentleman. I do not ever remember you getting upset with anyone. Mom is doing OK, but is sad that you have left her behind. I am sure she can't wait until she is reunited with you in heaven. In the meantime, we will take good care of her for you and make sure she goes to bingo - You know how she loves winning prizes.

You will always be in our hearts.

Love, Your daughter-in-law Mary Ellen
