Kerri Johnston

Kerri Renee` Burdick Johnston of 21 Shari Drive, Marlboro, entered into Heaven on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at parents home in Wappinger Falls, N.Y. She was 50 years old.

The daughter to Robert Burdick and Audry Stromberg, Kerri was born July 22, 1956 in Pennsylvania. She was married to James F. Johnston. She has resided in Marlboro for many years.

Kerri was an engineering tech for I.B.M. in Fishkill. She was a member of the 1/4 Centry Club, I.B.M.; member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

A Family Statements reads: "Kerri was a cherished daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Her passions in life were taking care of her family and home with beautiful flower gardens. Kerri had a caring heart, a beautiful laugh, incredible strength and a joy for life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her."

Survivors include her husband; her mother and father of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; three sons, Gregory Johnston of Newburgh, Eric Johnston of Marlboro and Justin Duchin of Marlboro; one daughter, Kimberly Duchin of Marlboro; four sisters, Donna and her husband, Nicholas Johnson of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., Susan and her husband, Dave Costa of Town of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Rhonda and her husband Tony Spero of Virginia and Annie and her husband, Walter Decker of Hyde Park, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, September 11, 2006 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 11 a.m. Pastor Daniel Ward will officiate.

Cremation will take place September 12, 2006 in the Cedar Hill Crematory.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Kerri R. Johnston to the Memorial College Fund for Justin G. Duchin c/o the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, 159 Barnegat Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
